Security Settings
Your FlowEdge account contains sensitive business information — client details, project documents, and financial terms. The Security settings page helps you keep everything protected.
Authentication Methods
FlowEdge supports two sign-in methods:
Google Single Sign-On (SSO)
If you signed up with Google, your account security is managed through your Google account. This means:
- You sign in using your Google credentials
- Google handles password management and security
- Any security features you have enabled in Google (like two-factor authentication) also protect your FlowEdge account
Email and Password
If you signed up with email, you manage your password directly in FlowEdge:
- Change your password — Go to Settings > Security and click “Change Password.” Enter your current password and choose a new one.
- Password requirements — Use at least 8 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
✅ Best Practice
Use a unique, strong password for your FlowEdge account. If you use a password manager, let it generate one for you.
Sign Out Behavior
You can sign out of FlowEdge from the sidebar menu. When you sign out:
- Your session ends on that device
- Any unsaved edits are preserved (FlowEdge auto-saves your work)
- You will need to sign in again to access your account
💡 Tip
If you are using a shared or public computer, always sign out when you are done. This prevents others from accessing your account and documents.
How FlowEdge Protects Your Data
FlowEdge uses several layers of security to protect your information:
- Encryption in transit — All data sent between your browser and FlowEdge servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
- Encryption at rest — Your documents, client details, and profile information are stored on encrypted servers.
- No third-party sharing — Your business data is never sold or shared with third parties.
- AI data handling — Your documents and inputs are used only to generate your requested content. They are not used to train AI models.
⚠️ Important
If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, change your password immediately and contact support. For Google SSO users, secure your Google account first.
