Cover Page & PDF Export
Estimated time: 2 minutes
A professional cover page makes a strong first impression. FlowEdge lets you add a branded cover page to any document and export the whole thing as a polished PDF — ready to send to your client.
The Cover Page
Your cover page is automatically designed using information from your account and document:
- Your logo — Displayed prominently at the top (set this up in Branding)
- Brand colors — Your primary and accent colors create a consistent look
- Project name — The project name from your generation form
- Client name — The client the document was created for
- Date — When the document was generated
- Your business name — From your Profile Information
Toggling the Cover Page
In the document editor, you will find a cover page toggle. Turn it on to include the cover page, or off to skip it. The cover page is an optional addition — your document works great either way.
💡 Tip
Use a cover page for formal proposals and contracts. For quick SOWs or internal documents, you might skip it to keep things concise.
PDF Export
When your document is ready, export it as a PDF:
- Click the Download PDF button in the editor toolbar.
- FlowEdge generates a formatted PDF with your branding, cover page (if enabled), and all content.
- The PDF downloads to your computer, ready to email or share with your client.
What the PDF Includes
- Cover page (if toggled on)
- All document sections with formatting
- Your brand colors and fonts
- Headers and footers with your business information
- Page numbers
✅ Best Practice
Always preview your PDF before sending it to a client. Open the downloaded file and check that the layout, branding, and content look right on every page.
Making Your Cover Page Look Great
The cover page draws from your settings, so the key to a great cover page is getting your settings right:
- Upload a high-quality logo — A crisp, transparent PNG or SVG looks best. Set this up in Branding.
- Choose strong brand colors — Your primary and accent colors should contrast well and look professional together.
- Use a clear project name — The project name from your generation form appears on the cover, so make it descriptive and client-friendly.
⚠️ Important
If you have not set up your branding, the cover page will use default styling. Set up your Branding first for the best results.
