Upload Supporting Documents
Uploading supporting documents gives FlowEdge extra context about your project. The more context the AI has, the more accurate and relevant your generated document will be.
How It Works
When you upload files during document generation, FlowEdge reads and analyzes them alongside your project description. The AI uses this information to:
- Understand the project scope in greater detail
- Match your client’s language and terminology
- Include specific requirements mentioned in the files
- Reference details you might have forgotten to type
How to Upload Files
- On the generation form, look for the Upload Files area below the project description field.
- Click to open the file picker, or drag and drop files directly onto the upload area.
- You can add multiple files at once.
- Each file appears in a list below the upload area. You can remove any file by clicking the remove button.
💡 Tip
You do not need to upload files to generate a document. The project description alone is enough. But uploads help the AI produce significantly better results for complex projects.
Supported File Formats
| Format | Extension | Best For |

Size limit: Each file can be up to 10MB.
Best Documents to Upload
Not sure what to upload? Here are the most useful types of reference material:
- Client briefs or RFPs — These give the AI a clear picture of what the client wants.
- Meeting notes — Capture details from discovery calls or kickoff meetings.
- Previous proposals — Help the AI match the style and detail level you have used before.
- Project outlines — Share your initial scope or task breakdown.
- Competitor research — Give context about the market or industry.
✅ Best Practice
Upload the client’s own words whenever possible — like their brief or email. The AI will mirror their language and priorities, making your document feel more personalized.
Uploads vs. Project Context
There are two ways to give FlowEdge reference material:
- Uploads on the generation form — Used for this specific document only.
- Project Context Tab — Stored with the project and used for every document you generate for that project.
If you plan to generate multiple documents for the same project, save your files in the Project Context tab so you do not have to upload them each time.
⚠️ Important
Do not upload sensitive documents containing passwords, financial credentials, or personal identification numbers. FlowEdge processes your files securely, but it is best to share only project-related content.
